Many IT organizations are considering deploying private or hybrid IaaS cloud solutions. However, cloud projects are harder than typical IT projects because people, process and tools all change. To help IT decision makers plan and execute successful hybrid cloud deployments, we studied 143 private or hybrid cloud deployments to uncover secrets of success. This paper highlights key findings from the ITPI research report “Private and Hybrid cloud IaaS; project success factors”. The paper summarizes what worked at top performing IT organizations that had the best results with their cloud projects.
